1st XI

Caspar Everett 

Having made his debut on the Seagull's tour to Sri Lanka in January 2015, Caspar has established himself as a stalwart opener for the university. Being second top run scorer on tour, followed by a solid debut BUCS season, Caspar demonstrated his Essex roots by anchoring innings in 2016 that motored the side to numerous victories.

Caspar has played Scottish Student Cricket for two seasons, as well as representing

Caspar is the incumbent 1st XI captain, having led the 1s to an unbeaten season in Scottish BUCS 1A. He will also be skippering the touring side to South Africa in January 2017.



Ben Kempley

Ben is the vice-captain of the side, 



Jacques Sharam

A genuine all-rounder in every sense of the word, Jacques is a talented wicket-keeper batsman, who can bowl if necessary. As a member of the Gloucestershire Academy in his youth, Jacques has plenty of experience to draw upon for the university side.  




Duncan Bristow

A hard-hitting top order batsman, Duncan has consistently topped the batting averages in his time at St Andrews since 2015. 




James Earnshaw

A veteran of the club, James is closing in on ... wickets for the university across all formats. A bowling allrounder,  



Robert Chadwick

A canny opening bowler, Robert has reaped the rewards of Scottish conditions, utilising a combination of swing and seam movement to cause havoc amongst the opposition top order. 



Jon Roper

St Andrews's answer to Mitchell Stark, Jon burst onto the scene in 2015 with 4-26 against Loughborough 1st XI that nearly saw an unlikely victory for the university in BUCS Northern Premier 1B. 


Gus Portig 

Rapid between the wickets, Gus occupies the middle order as a source of quick-fire runs. 

Cameron Russell

A fiery Glaswegian seam bowler,  Cameron impressed in the BUCS indoor competitions, receiving a call up to the 1st XI after further performances in the club's pre-season friendlies. 



Alex Sachak

Completing the bowling unit is Alex, another spinner
